URGENT PRODUCT SAFETY RECALL
It has come to our attention that a small number of desktop computers we have either assembled or fixed between January and July of 2013 may have a fault with the power connection to one or more of the drives that could pose a fire risk. The part in question, as shown in the example image below, is the cable connected between the main bundle of cables to the DVD drive.
No computers have actually caught fire but as a precaution we would ask anyone who may be affected by this to cease using their computer and return it to our store urgently. Alternatively, should you feel confident opening your computer up then you may wish to see if there are any power adapters as shown above. If there are none then your computer is not affected. If you are in any doubt then bring it in and we will check for you there and then. We believe there are no more than 26 affected computers.
Whilst the affected part will be out of warranty, all work to correct the problem on any suspect computers will be carried out free of charge and should be completed within a couple of hours. We appologise for any inconvenience or distress this may cause but as a responsible business we are committed to the safety of our customers.
