Did you know that every page you look at on the Internet is stored on your computer? And that one page could add hundreds of files to your hard drive?
Each file on your computer needs to be indexed so that it can be retrieved later and as that index grows the longer your computer takes to find the file(s) it needs. Deleting temporary Internet files can help, as can running 'Disk cleanup' but, to date, we haven't found a single product that will do the job as any where near as effectively as removing these files manually.
Now we could tell you where these files are stored and how to get rid of them but they vary according to the setup of your computer and one simple mistake could result in serious loss of needed data or completely ruin your windows installation.
This is just one area of your computer that needs regular cleaning, there are others, but you would give up the will to live if I went into detail about them all.
Our advice is that think of your computer like you would a car and, about once a year bring your machine to us and we will give it a computer equivalent of an MOT, Service and Valet. In most cases it takes 2 days and costs £35.
Once again, like a car, if it has been a number of years since this kind of work has been done to your computer there may be more to do (costing a little more and taking a little longer) and, if your computer is in constant use, like a taxi, may be needed more frequently.
