Safe Downloads
Many of the computers we see in our shop have been infected with malicous software as a direct result of the user downloading perfectly legitimate software from (in simple terms) fake providers. Some of these fake providers even pay the likes of Google and Yahoo to appear above the original software sites in their search results.
To help you avoid falling fould of these 'fake' websites we have put together a list lnks to commonly downloaded legitimate software. If you have any recommendations to expand this list or if any links don't work then please contact us.
Please be advised that even some lefitimate software will 'sponsored' and will want to add supposedly helpful toolbars and/or free antivirus software. We recommend paying close attention to each step of the installation to avoid these normally unneccessary add-ons. Please read the notes beneath each icon.
